In the Red & Brown Water
Tarell Alvin McCraney’s In the Red & Brown Water moves like water itself — Yoruba mythology folded into a Louisiana housing project, realism dissolving into ritual mid-scene.
The set design gave the production a fluid, elemental playing space that could shift from porch to riverbank to dream without a blackout, letting the language do the scene changes.
